Task Force Rescues Girls Forced Into Prostitution

ONTARIO, Calif. (AP) -- A two-day Southern California task force sweep has led to the rescue of two underage girls forced into prostitution.

The Inland Empire Child Exploitation and Prostitution task force took the girls into custody during a two-day operation last week in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

One girl was rescued in Ontario and another was rescued in Hemet. They are in protective custody.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said on Tuesday that the girls have been working the streets and prostitutes. Their ages are being withheld.

The San Bernardino County Sun (http://bit.ly/WfsTaR ) the task force has conducted several operations to identify and recover victims of sexual trafficking.

Fifteen people have been arrested on charges that include pandering, pimping, prostitution and human trafficking.
