SAN DIEGO — It took engine crews about 15 minutes today to quell a fire that damaged a trolley stop at San Diego State University, authorities reported.
The blaze at the campus on College Avenue was reported at about 9:25 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Campus administrators evacuated the nearby Adam Humanities Building as a precaution as firefighters doused the blaze, which broke out in a room that houses battery equipment, a dispatcher said.
No injuries were reported.
