Scripps Health was ranked 42nd on Fortune magazine's list released today of the top 100 companies to work for, the only San Diego-based employer to be included.
According to Fortune, "professional opportunities abound for workers" at Scripps Health, including tuition reimbursement and scholarships, training courses, career training, on-site childcare and fitness classes.

Google/Alphabet was rated first on the Fortune list, followed by Acuity Insurance of Wisconsin, the Boston Consulting Group, Wegmans Food Markets of New York and Quicken Loans of Michigan.
While Scripps Health was the only San Diego-based company on the list, several employers with extensive operations in the region rank highly, including financial services firm Edward Jones, 10th; drug maker Genetech, 11th; Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, 20th; tax software provider Intuit, 34th; insurance and financial services firm USAA, 36th; accounting firm KPMG, 43rd; Navy Federal Credit Union, 44th; and Hyatt Hotels, 47th.
