Russia Agrees to Ease Iraq's Debt

After months of resisting U.S. pressure, Russia agrees to forgive more than half of the $8 billion that Baghdad owes Moscow. Russia is one of Iraq's largest creditors. The pledge came as members of Iraq's governing council visited Moscow and held talks with President Vladimir Putin. NPR's Lawrence Sheets reports.
