Did you watch the launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavor this morning? I was still asleep and missed it, but luckily the Associated Press posted raw video of the inspiring launch on You Tube, and you'll find it at the end of this post if you missed it, too. The San Jose Mercury News reports roughly 45,000 shuttle enthusiasts were on hand to watch the launch in person.
I was excited to learn Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was also able to watch the launch of the Endeavor. Her husband, Navy Capt. Mark Kelly, is commanding officer of Endeavor's final voyage. According to the Merc, Giffords made the return trip to Florida to see the launch of the shuttle, after the initial launch slated for April 29 was scrubbed because of electrical problems with the Endeavor.
