Miramar Marine Proposes To Girlfriend
Home Post has featured quite a few surprise reunions recently, but how about a surprise proposal? This MCAS Miramar Marine won a contest that allowed him to surprise his girlfriend, a student at U.C. San Diego, with the proposal of a lifetime (we hope).
Sgt. Arthur Rabago wrote the winning essay in a contest put on by Marine Corps Community Services and Robbins Brothers, in which he described the love he feels for girlfriend Shayna Bradley. Bradley is majoring in both political science and dance at UCSD. Rabogo wrote that ever since the two met on an internet dating site, he's had trouble imaging life without Bradley:
“She’s worked very hard to overcome many obstacles including a rough upbringing. Since she’s never been able to count on anyone to be there for her, I want the opportunity to be her rock. This ring will enable me to give her an incredible surprise she truly deserves and will serve as a symbol of the love we share. I can’t wait to ask her to be my wife!”
Did she say yes? Watch the video at the top of this post to find out!
