An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 struck Tuesday in Southwest Riverside County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck around 1:20 p.m. about 1 mile east of Wildomar and 4 miles northwest of Murrieta with a depth of around 8.8 miles, according to the USGS.

People reported feeling weak to light shaking as far south as Oceanside, Escondido and Ramona, and as far north as Rancho Cucamonga and Santa Monica, according to USGS Did You Feel It? map

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
