The City of San Diego announced this week that it will repurpose the Convention Center as a temporary shelter for unaccompanied minors seeking asylum in the United States. The Biden Administration's move is an attempt to deal with crowds that have swelled up in recent years due to the Remain in Mexico program under President Trump. Jean Guerrero is reporting on Trump supporters who have been using the asylum situation as a way to spread misinformation to the MAGA crowd about what’s happening along the Southern border.

Whitewashing Census Representation
The goal of the census is to conduct an accurate count of the people living in a given area, but there are some built-in obstacles when it comes to those of Middle Eastern descent. Some ethnicities from various parts of the world are classified as white in the population count. This raises the issue of whether these distinct communities will get the representation, and ultimately federal resources, they are due. That’s The Way The Q Crumbles
One of San Diego’s most distinctive landmarks is no more. This week, the final section of what used to be known as Qualcomm Stadium was torn down by demolition crews. The stadium’s demise has been going on for months, but seeing the final bit of seating crumble offers a bit of finality for a venue that was part of San Diego’s culture for decades. Antonio Morales caught up with many of the athletes and media who created memories at the Mission Valley stadium. He joins us to talk about the nostalgia.
